With a rich history of football, Freitas still loves the game

In San Mateo lies Junipero Serra High School, a private Catholic school. While the institution is named after a pivotal figure in California’s history, its football stadium bares its own name: Jesse Freitas Field.

CROWD CONTROL — Terri Parrish and her border collie, Jane, demonstrate sheep herding during the 2nd Annual “Walk with Your Dog” 5K fund-raiser at the RB Community Park. Sunday’s event also included canine demonstrations of luring, fly ball and agility, vendor exhibits, games and refreshments.
