WHS student recycles phones for diabetes fundraiser

Diabetes hasn’t kept Jenny Vandevelde from enjoying the sports she loves, and neither will Death Valley. That’s assuming the Westview senior raises $7,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which is sponsoring a bike ride through the blazing California desert May 6.

New buildings at PHS

NEW BUILDINGS — A new, two-story, 80,000-square-foot wing under construction at Poway High School will have 22 classrooms for academics and trade shops at ground level when it opens in June.
