Why even bother marketing?

Over the past 25 years I’ve come across many arguments why you should or shouldn’t market a business. Arguments for include increasing profits, increasing visibility and controlling the message. Arguments against include lack of time, lack of competition and controlling the budget.

In the case of a story immortalized by so wildly popular a film as “The Sound of Music,” a production must strike a balance between maintaining a level of orthodoxy to the beloved original and still creating something different from a carbon copy. Moonlight Amphitheatre’s current interpretation performs quite well on this front.
