Four men were arrested Monday night during a
reported heroin drug bust at a Poway motel.
A spokesman for the San Diego Drug Enforcement Administration office
identified those taken into custody as: Mark O. Harrigan, 20, of Poway;
Thomas M. Platek, 21, of San Diego; Ross W. Goodwin, 21, of San Diego;
and Christopher M. Cardenas, 23, of Escondido.
Sheriff’s Lt. Lori Ross said that Harrigan was arrested for reportedly
possessing 1.5 ounces of black tar heroin with intent to sell, while the
other three were arrested for allegedly attempting to possess heroin.
The arrests were made in a room at the Ramada Inn, 12448 Poway Road, she
said. Three others in the room were not arrested.
The estimated street value of drugs seized was $1,000, according to a
DEA official.
Five of the seven people questioned at the motel are reportedly Poway
High School graduates, Ross said.
