Screaming CMR woman subdued by pepper spray

CARMEL MOUNTAIN RANCH (CNS) A Carmel Mountain Ranch woman who was screaming and throwing things from her window Friday was pepper-sprayed into submission and arrested, police said.

Someone called police just after 1:30 p.m. to report the woman was screaming and breaking things inside her home on Tivoli Park Row, said San Diego Police Sgt. Ray Battrick.

RBBA farmers market moves to Sundays

RB Farmers Market & Specialty Faire

Starting this Sunday, locals can go to a weekly farmers market in Rancho Bernardo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday.

The Rancho Bernardo Business Association Farmers Market & Specialty Faire is changing its day and hours of operation in order to not negatively impact businesses surrounding Webb Park, said RBBA President Larry McIntyre.

Four accused in 24-hour armed robbery spree plead not guilty

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A woman and three men accused of committing three armed robberies in the Ocean Crest area, Rancho Bernardo and Mira Mesa over a period of less than 24 hours pleaded not guilty today to robbery charges.

Marquise Ford Bowser, a 21-year-old woman also known as Marquise Ford, Marquis Dontriel Brooks, 19, Tommy Jacquett, 32, and Jeremiah Caleb Jimerson, 19, were all ordered held on $200,000 bail.

She is also a partner with Cox & Associates Communications, which specializes in public relations, marketing, media relations and corporate positioning, she said.

WEB UPDATE: Hoops squads advance in winter tourneys

The boys basketball squads of Poway and Rancho Bernardo are still going in the 21st Annual Holiday Classic, presented by ESPN ISCORE.
The tournament — operated by the Torrey Pines High School Foundation — has featured 79 teams at five venues around the county. Poway and Rancho Bernardo are both competing in the Governor Division, and both have secured a spot in the last day of competition, Thursday Dec. 30.

The games will be held at Rancho Bernardo.

UPDATE: Names released in arrests of two unrelated Rancho Bernardo criminal cases

San Diego Police announced Wednesday afternoon more identities for those arrested Tuesday in two unrelated Rancho Bernardo cases.

Four men and a woman were arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of participating in three armed robberies of San Diego businesses within 24 hours.

One was the Circle K store in the 17000 block of W. Bernardo Drive in Rancho Bernardo shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday.
