Real estate a moving experience for Katie Holmes

A sunny, bright disposition and friendly, confident presence that light up a room are what contribute to the success of Prudential California Realtor Katie Holmes. A strong work ethic and personal drive are traits that Holmes has put into action throughout her life and in her real estate career.

Having moved several times throughout the country, Holmes knows many aspects of the real estate experience first-hand and brings that experience to the table when working with clients.

“I have been a buyer and a seller several times throughout my life in many different geographical areas as well as a variety of real estate markets,” Holmes said. “I’ve moved my family cross-country and know the importance of listening to the client’s needs because it’s not just a home they’re choosing, it’s a community, schools and sense of belonging.”

Holmes’ professional real estate experience began six years ago as director of marketing for a real estate team and in this role she learned how to stage a home for sale in addition to successfully marketing and promoting the home.

Having a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in communication arts and design, was a natural creative segue into the art of home sales.

“I’ve been in the business world for many years and bring lots of experience into my role as an agent from managing teams to owning my own successful freelance graphic design business, and it’s the many and varied roles that contribute to who I am as an agent,” she said.

Holmes’ professionalism, negotiating skills and strength of communication leave a lasting imprint on her clients and colleagues. Client-focused and service-orientated Holmes has seen a steady rise in her business even through times of economic uncertainty in the housing market.

For the past six years, Holmes has enjoyed living in Rancho Bernardo, where she contributes a significant amount of time and effort to local schools and nonprofit organizations. Recently she received the distinguished “Spotlight on Volunteers” award for implementing and teaching an art program at her community elementary school. She has served on the Poway Unified School Foundation Board, is currently a member of the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Rancho Bernardo Business Association.
