Missoula Children’s Theatre holding auditions for ‘Wizard of Oz’ Monday.

Nearly 50 local children will have the opportunity to be part of the “Wizard of Oz”, which will stage two shows, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday March 12. Auditions are scheduled for Monday (March 7).

The Missoula Children's Theatre will be holding auditions for "The Wizard of Oz" Monday at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts.

Children will be cast for acting, singing and dancing roles. Resumes, headshots and prepared songs or monologues are not required.

The auditions begin promptly, and those who are late will not be admitted. No appointment is necessary. More information can be obtained by calling 858-668-4798 or at the arts center website, www.powayarts.org.

Those who are cast in the show will be required to stay until 8 p.m. on Monday and they must be available to rehearse from 4 to 8:30 p.m. every day through March 11.

The children must be available all day on Saturday, March 12, the day of the performance.

Tickets to the show, available at www.powayarts.org, are $17 for adults (18 and over) and $5 for those who are under 18.
