Youth roller hockey clinics are being held in the 4S Ranch Community Park, 16118 4S Ranch Parkway, 8 a.m. – noon Saturdays for youths ages 5 through 18. Sessions are ten weeks long and are hosted by volunteer coaches who have a passion for teaching young athletes the sport. Summer session 2011 runs from June 18 to Aug. 27 and costs $25. Pacific Lacrosse is holding a one-day combine June 24 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Del Norte High School. Coaching will be done by five World Team players, four pro lacrosse players, 18 NCAA players and nine national championship players. There will be a special demonstration by the US Navy SEALs. The Ramona Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Valley of the Sun Pitchers Duel Horseshoe Tournament 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25 at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center. An adult men’s basketball league is being held in the 4S Ranch Community Park, 16118 4S Ranch Parkway 6 – 10 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays for ages 18 and up. A session consists of 10 weeks plus playoffs and championship, plus team and individual stats that are posted weekly on the league website. Monday night session runs from July 25 – Oct. 17 and Tuesday night session runs from June 28 – Sept. 13. Cost is $425 for up to a 12-man team. The County of San Diego is offering weekly summer tennis camps Monday-Friday, through Aug. 12 at the 4S Ranch Sports Park, 16118 4S Ranch Parkway. Pro Bowl quarterback Philip Rivers is hosting his second annual youth football camp, The Old Spice Philip Rivers Football Camp 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 at UC San Diego NCRA Fields. Open to boys and girls ages 7 – 14, campers will experience various stations, specializing in fundamental skills and the team concept of football.
