Man beaten, stabbed in Penasquitos

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – San Diego Police are searching for two young men who beat and stabbed a man in Rancho Penasquitos Tuesday night who refused to hand over his belongings, authorities said.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, was walking northbound in the 10900 block of Carmel Mountain Road  when the assailants approached around 9 p.m. Tuesday, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said in a statement.

The pair – described as being 20 to 22 years old dressed in black – demanded the victim’s belongings and when he refused, they beat him and stabbed him three times, Delimitros said.

The victim was stabbed once in the chest and twice in one of his arms, according to Delimitros, who said the wounds were not life-threatening.
