Social media workshop is Nov. 3 in Poway

The Pomerado Newspaper Group will be hosting a social media marketing workshop on Nov. 3 to help businesses take the first step into social media.

I-15 Voices.com is a local site (powered by The Pomerado Newspaper Group) similar to Facebook but takes the extra step to allow local businesses an opportunity to join in the conversation.

“We have given our local businesses a forum to have a voice”, said Marianne Welch, I-15 Voices’ media consultant.

Any business can attend the workshop for free and learn ways to market their business through social networking.

A 30-minute workshop will be repeated from 3 to 7 p.m. at Kaminski’s Barbecue and Sports Lounge, 12735 Poway Road. Refreshments will be served.  Each business will have a chance to win an iPad.
