Letter appearing in the News Chieftain
The Once Upon a Hallowe’en event held at Old Poway Park on Sunday evening, Oct. 30, was a huge success, with an estimated 1,500 people in attendance. This year marked the third anniversary of what is fast becoming a Poway tradition.
A heartfelt thanks to the following individuals and organizations for their financial and physical support: The Apache Canyon Gang, Belinda Romero, Bryan Fear, John Wismont, Lynn Wolsey Designs, Overshiner’s Blacksmith Guild, the Pfeil family, Poway Arts & Crafts Guild, Poway High School AVID Program, Poway Historical & Memorial Society, Poway–Midland Railroad Volunteers, Poway Station Model Railroad Club, Poway Woman’s Club, Rancho Bernardo High School Key Club, San Diego Folk Heritage, the Shadow River Regulators, Emma Sarmiento’s Thriller Dancers, the City of Poway Community Services staff and the reserve park rangers. Without their participation, this event would not have been possible.
Lynn Wolsey,
Event Chairman Poway
