Tutors needed

Town Hall meeting
A Town Hall meeting to discuss juvenile drug and alcohol use in Poway will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at Templar’s Hall, 14134 Midland Road. Local leaders, sheriff’s deputies, Poway Unified School District representatives and others will be attending, as well as licensed drug and alcohol counselors. Seating is limited, bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Chamber mixer
The Poway Chamber of Commerce will host a mixer from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at The Terrace, 12440 Poway Road. Member admission is $5, prospective members must RSVP and their admission is $15. For details, call 858-748-0016.
A night of stars
Join the San Diego Astronomers Association Volunteer Astronomers for a night with the stars. The star experience is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20 at the Goodan Ranch Preserve, 16281 Sycamore Canyon Road.
