Donate prom dresses to needy teens

Ogden’s Cleaners in Rancho Bernardo is teaming up with The Princess Project again this year to collect prom dresses for high school girls who can’t afford to buy one. Ogden’s will also clean donated dresses for free. Since 2002 the nonprofit Princess Project has given away more than 9,000 prom dresses and accessories to high school girls.

The Princess Project asks that dresses be from 2004 or new in excellent condition and in all sizes and colors. Purses, fancy jewelry, wraps or shawls also needed. Your dress/accessory donation is tax deductible, just ask an Ogden’s employee for a receipt at time of donation.

As a thank you for donations, Ogden’s will give donors a voucher to use at Ogden’s Cleaners for each dress donated. Bring your donation to either of the Rancho Bernardo Ogden’s 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday or 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Locations are 12461 Rancho Bernardo Road in the Albertsons center or 15721 Bernardo Heights Parkway in the Sprouts center.
