Little League All-Stars Majors: Poway American advances to quarterfinals with 6-1 win over CMR
Ryan Zhao tossed five scoreless innings and struck out nine to lead the Poway American Majors All-Star team to a 6-1 victory over Carmel Mountain Ranch Sunday in pool play.
The victory sends Poway American to the quarterfinals, where they will face Del Mar American Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Poway American Little League Fields.
Bryce Tregoning had a solo home run in the third inning to put Poway American ahead 1-0. Ryan Murray scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-0 in the fourth inning. Poway American blew it open with a four-run sixth.
