Power outage in parts of Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos

Update 7:30 a.m.: Power has been restored to all customers.

Update: As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, five customers are still without power. According to the SDG&E website, power is expected to be restored by 7 a.m.

Power has been out since 7:55 p.m. Monday for around 1,200 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos and San Pasqual.

The utility states on its website that the suspected problem is in the overhead system. The website map indicates a location along Camino del Norte between Paseo Lucido/Carmel Mountain Road and Interstate 15.

SDG&E expects power to be restored by 4 a.m. Tuesday.
