The conference — organized by San Diego North Chamber of Commerce — will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort and Spa.

While tickets for the other March 11-14 events plus a week-long pass have yet to go on sale, the March 15 tickets were made available early due to Chopra’s stature and popularity, according to Debra Rosen, SDNCC’s president and CEO.

For now the tickets are $99, with the price expected to increase in coming months, she said, adding only 300 will be able to attend the conference. They can be purchased at www.sdwomensweek.com.

Chopra is an internist, endocrinologist, international presenter and author of 64 books, of which 18 on mind-body health, spirituality and peace have made the New York Times best-sellers list. These include “Peace Is the Way,” “The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life” and “Spiritual Solutions — Answers to Life’s Greatest Problems.” He is also the founder and chairman of the Chopra Foundation and the co-chairman of the Carlsbad-based Chopra Center for Wellbeing.

The fourth annual San Diego Women’s Week is designed to attract thousands of attendees from throughout Southern California, primarily women of all ages and professional backgrounds interested in inspiration, empowerment and connecting with other women. Like last year, the event will be held at various venues throughout the week. For details, go to www.sdwomensweek.com.
