From the publisher: A fond farewell

Time flies when you’re having fun.

Jeff Mitchell

For the past three-and-a-half years I have had the privilege to not only live in a great community, but to be the publisher of two outstanding community newspapers serving Rancho Bernardo and Poway. But the time has come to go back home to the Monterey Bay area. Effective Oct. 1, I will become the publisher of the Good Times community weekly newspaper in Santa Cruz (part of the Mainstreet Media Group which owns the Poway News Chieftain and Rancho Bernardo News Journal.) I will leave behind wonderful friends and a truly outstanding staff (who will continue to provide the best in community news and information), but will carry with me all the great memories of the past few years. I will remember the hospitality and the unique experiences that these communities have shared with me as I move forward to the next chapter in my life.

The Rancho Bernardo and Poway communities represent the very best when it comes to what community is all about. I wish you all well and will look forward to coming back for a visit.

All the best,

Jeff Mitchell
