Allen - is world hunger also your fault?

George - Education is a business. Once people grasp that concept maybe we will start seeing better business (education) management.

I blame you Allen for being a libertarian ...

We can no longer afford "low cost" everything and then blame it on the "system"--the quality that goes in comes out. You're the problem not the solution.

Stop with the "it's the bureaucrats stupid" and not "me" syndrome--yes Allen, it's you. "You're the system."

Stop the "run it like a business" mentality--education is not a business, it's a civic duty.

We will now place the blame where it belongs--on your small-mind world view.

I think those points are true.

It seems that as time passes a culture of 'corruption' takes hold on an orginization: Company, Nation, Church etc.

We become more casual about looking the other way and telling ourselves "we gotta do things that way"

We have become wastefull and gluttonous, where the richest country is so obsessed with fundraising and appearances of buildings, enormous waste of food money and time in the anything the seems to fly, be it "freedom, education", or the buzz word of the day

The quality of education; viz teaching and learning will depend much more on the integrity of the teachers and students, that what type of chair they sit on.

And still the kids will be sent out to sell cookies and magazines, when one Billion is not enough.

So it seems to me.

Yes, you elected a "financial advisor" but you didn't "hire" one that could be instantly fired for financial incompetence. You made the financial advisor part of the system, not someone whose sole responsibility was money.

I just retread Mr. Davis' campaign voter remarks, and he mentioned his interest in core curriculum, but not taxpayer dollars.

Once passed, he, like all others who voted for this now nationally recognized fiasco have to defend their actions -- their future reputations depend upon defending the indefensible. Being in elected office means never having to say you are sorry.

Mr. Davis is in a position where he advises others on finances. If he said, " Hey, sorry about that. I just made a billion dollar error" how does his financial advice future look? I suspect what he wants is for this to just go away, and it is likely to for something approaching 20 years.

Like I said...a Ph. D Candidate from UCSD, a Libertarian (who has a built in disdain for government) who answers just to the board, and who can be immediately fired.

We did elect a financial "expert" - his name is Marc Davis and he still defends the use of these 2011 bonds. What now Allen?
