Motorcyclist critically injured on Community Road
POWAY (CNS) – A 62-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition Thursday with head and internal injuries following a motorcycle crash in Poway, authorities said.
The man was riding northbound on Community Road, near Olive Meadows Drive, around 4:45 p.m. when he hit the brakes because of heavy traffic in front of him and lost control of his motorcycle, according to San Diego County sheriff’s Cpl. Todd Murphy.
The bike skidded briefly before rolling into opposing traffic lanes without hitting any vehicles, Murphy said in a statement.
Medics took the man to Scripps Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted to an intensive care unit in critical condition, Murphy said.
