Hans’ success based on communication, goals
When buying and/or selling a home, people often choose a Realtor they’ve worked with in the past or they rely on a referral from a friend or acquaintance. There is no doubt that a certain comfort level exists in that methodology. However, Jeff Hans of RE/MAX Associates in Rancho Bernardo suggests that you consider interviewing two or three Realtors before making a choice and he’d like to be one of them.
At home with both buyers and sellers, Hans from believes the key to his success is rooted in his ability to establish a foundation of communication and clear expectations at the beginning of every real estate relationship. Utilizing his years of training as a sales manager, mortgage loan officer and Realtor, Hans feels strongly about establishing a set of mutual clear cut goals and a plan of action for every real estate endeavor.
“When working with sellers, it is essential to understand and acknowledge the client’s motivation.” says Hans. “We discuss the current market trends and together we develop a detailed marketing plan and timeline.”
Hans incorporates the seller as an integral part of the overall sales plan. He assists in staging the property and utilizes the skills of a professional photographer to capture the quality selling features of the home. Every aspect of newspaper advertising, Internet promotion, printed media layout and neighborhood mailing is detailed on the custom marketing calendar so the seller is well informed.
Hans works with a wide variety of buyers as well. He most recently assisted a couple that was soon to retire from the work force by selling their larger home in Rancho Bernardo and finding a smaller single-story home in Escondido. Their goal was to reduce their mortgage payment while also preparing for the “Golden Years” in a home that was more manageable and did not have stairs. Once again, the key to a successful home buying experience is understanding and establishing the goal and designing a well-organized approach to the search.
As president for a second term of the local Poway Real Estate Professionals (PREP), a local membership organization of Realtors and affiliated real estate professionals, Hans is very involved in many aspects of the Poway Unified School District community. He is also a member of the Rancho Bernardo Business Association and enjoys serving as an active member of The Church at Rancho Bernardo.
