I can't believe that you whitewashed Peter's disaster as head of the San Diego City Council. He didn't "learn tough lessons" – he put our city on the map as the the poster child for pension bankruptcies. And then he billed the city taxpayer for over $600,000 for his personal attorney to protect himself during the SEC investigation of the county. Peters has acknowledged that he indebted our city to the tune of billions with no knowlege of how we would pay for it. Our country is $16 trillion in debt — we don't need another democrat in congress voting for more deficit spending.

I guess this means we'll just have to make up our minds on our own… Judging by the opinion letters published mainly in favor of Steve Vaus, I'm going to suggest that perhaps that is who the paper is endorsing. In a passive sort of way. As far as the PUSD, there is only 1 challenger and 2 incumbents. On election day it will be to vote for the challenger and flip a coin as to which of the other two should go – Vanderveen or Patapow.

I'm disappointed that you have no endorsements for the Poway City Council. Hopefully you'll get a Poway/RB editorial board for next time.
