Rancho Bernardo bank robbed

The Wells Fargo Bank, located inside the Rancho Bernardo Vons at 11986 Bernardo Plaza Drive, was robbed late Thursday afternoon. As of 5:45 p.m. police were still at the scene.

At 4:23 p.m. a man walked up to the teller counter, simulated having a weapon and was given an undisclosed amount of money, according to San Diego police. He was last seen leaving through the grocery story.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid to late 20s, 5-feet, 9-inches tall, 180 pounds, unshaven with olive ski. He was wearing a blue baseball hat, black hoodie and unknown colored pants

A bank manager, who declined to be identified, told Pomerado News that everyone was OK.
