George Asaad focuses on new opportunities
Even in a challenging real estate market, George Asaad of Prudential California Realty Rancho Bernardo says real estate is an awesome career.
“I enjoy the occasional (yet lately, they seem to be much more often) challenges of real estate,” he said. “I also love being able to help people find their dream home and make them as happy as possible.”
Asaad, who has been with Prudential since 1999, chose real estate because he always wanted to work in a business area similar to what he experienced growing up.
“Also, being able to interact with people on a daily basis is wonderful as well,” he added.
His success as a Realtor stems from his ability to embrace change, shrug off defeat, and keep himself on task and moving forward.
“The secret to success is to look at each day as a new opportunity to be your very best,” Asaad said. “Set high goals, be honest, never say no, and work with people who share your passion for doing their best.”
Asaad says his positive attitude while with clients or at a property helps buyers and sellers alike relate to him as a regular person, making them more comfortable and his work more enjoyable.
“I am always able to be flexible with my schedule and instead work around the schedules of my clients,” he said. “I’m motivated and persistent, able to handle stressful situations and uncomfortable conversations, as well as confront issues head-on. I am very self motivated, determined and honest.”
Dean Stalter, broker at the Prudential Rancho Bernardo office, agrees.
“George has many great positive character traits,” Stalter said. “He is conscientious, honest, sincere and a hard worker who finds the best values for his clients. He takes time to get to know his clients and find out exactly what they want to accomplish. You can always depend on George to be true to his character.”
Despite slowdowns in some markets, Asaad believes housing remains a good long-term investment.
“Homeownership offers immediate benefits and long-term value. Homeowners accumulate wealth for the future while enjoying the benefits of a shelter that they can use, improve and sell,” Asaad said.
“No two buying experiences are the same, but some people find the process of buying a home a little daunting and sometimes overwhelming,” he added. “Finding the right real estate agent can make you a savvy consumer and improve your overall experience.”
Sellers should take a hands-on approach, whether they’re selling their home for the first time or are real estate veterans, according to Asaad.
For example, set the right price for your home, use contemporary marketing to showcase the home and be sure to make small improvements. All this can be accomplished with the help of a good Realtor.
Asaad has two sons attending Rancho Bernardo High School and a daughter in college. He can be reached by calling 619-218-4922 or at www.georgeasaad.com.
