Poway Soroptimists announce drawing winner

AND THE WINNER IS… – Arlene Cawthorne, center, is the winner of a $1,000 drawing held at the Soroptomist International of Poway booth at Wellness Madness held Sept. 8 in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Sponsorships and an opportunity drawing helped raise nearly $8,000 to support the club’s many projects, including transitional housing for victims of domestic violence. Breakfast meetings are held the first and third Wednesday at Café Merlot in the Bernardo Winery.
