Prep Girls Tennis: Rancho Bernardo High, Poway, Del Norte all earn spots in upcoming section playoff fields
The Rancho Bernardo High girls tennis team earned the No. 4 seed and Poway is No. 7 in the upcoming CIF San Diego Section Division I playoffs.
The Broncos (11-8) will host No. 13 Mira Mesa (11-4) Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Poway (10-7) will host No. 10 Vista (10-9) Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
Westview (15-2) earned the top seed in the field, while Torrey Pines, winners of 22 straight CIF SDS championships, is the No. 2 seed. The Falcons went 16-1 in the regular season.
The winner of the first-round matches advance to the quarterfinals Wednesday.
DIVISION III
Del Norte (6-8) is the No. 4 seed and will host No. 13 Santa Fe Christian (7-9) Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Division III field. The winner of the match will play either No. 5 Mater Dei (11-1) or No. 12 Santana (6-7) in the quarterfinals Wednesday.
