CIF Prep Girls Golf: Rancho Bernardo High, Poway advance to final round of section tournament

Hannah Bradshaw fired an even-par 72 to lead the Rancho Bernardo High girls golf team in the opening round of the CIF San Diego Section championships Tuesday at Coronado Municipal Golf Course.

The Broncos shot 395 as a team and trail only defending champion Torrey Pines (379) heading into Thursday’s final round. Carlsbad (396) is right behind Rancho Bernardo, as the two are fighting it out for that second and final qualifying spot into the SoCal Regional Championships.

Poway also made the first-round cut, shooting a 411. Maddelyn Zack shot a 78, while Joei Ducoti carded an 82 to lead the the Titans into fourth place after the opening round. Del Norte did not qualify as a team for the final round, but senior Paris Griffith and freshman Annika Chickering both shot 79s to advance to the final round as individuals.

San Pasqual’s Haley Moore is currently in first place after shooting a 3-under, 69.
