Poway Denny’s closes

By Emily Sorensen

Hungry Poway residents looking to get a Grand Slam were left instead with a big surprise upon discovering that the Poway Denny’s restaurant  at 12207 Poway Road had unexpectedly closed Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Rather than giving an explanation or a warning, the restaurant simply has a printed sheet taped to the door, saying “CLOSED SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.”

According to a customer service representative from Denny’s corporate offices, the lease of the Poway franchise was due to run out at the end of the month, and was not renewed. The representative did not have any further information available.

The Poway location, which was opened in 1990, is owned by Rednab Inc., who could not be reached immediately for comment.

Guess they didn't implement the Obamacare surcharge soon enough? http://consumerist.com/2012/11/16/dennys-franchis...

The RB Denny's is worth the drive, but avoid the RB Coco's. Worst service ever.

This Denny's closed because the owner of the building and the Franchisee owner couldn't come to an agreement on the new lease, and if you read the news you should know that the franchise owner that wants to do the surcharge has Denny's in Florida not California.
