Series of car burglaries reported Tuesday in Rancho Bernardo

A series of auto burglaries took place Tuesday in Rancho Bernardo, according to the San Diego police Northeastern Division Facebook page.

At about 1 a.m. officers from the Northeastern Division responded to a report of an auto burglary in progress in the 11200 block of Paseo Montanoso, which is off Camino del Norte just west of I-15.  After arriving, it was determined that three separate car burglaries had occurred. According to witnesses, the suspects were three males in a silver, gray or tan older model BMW 7 series with a partial plate of 3FPN???. The males were seen breaking into three different vehicles by two separate witnesses. Two of the vehicles were work vans and one was a Toyota 4Runner. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Several hours later, Northeastern Officers responded back out to the same area to investigate five additional car burglaries.

Authorities ask if you see any suspicious activity, call police dispatch at 858-484-3154. They also request that you not keep valuables in your vehicle in plain view.
