Prep Girls Soccer: Poway High, Del Norte earn first-round byes; Rancho Bernardo will travel to Point Loma
The Poway High and Del Norte girls soccer teams earned first-round byes in the CIF San Diego Section Division I and Division III playoffs, respectively.
The Titans, which claimed a share of their first Palomar League crown since 2010, are the No. 4 seed and will host the winner of Tuesday’s Granite Hills-San Diego match on Friday at 5 p.m.
The Nighthawks, which were last year’s Division III runner-ups, were also tagged with the No. 4 seed. They will host the winner of Tuesday’s Olympian-Canyon Crest match on Friday at 5 p.m.
Rancho Bernardo enters the Division II tournament as the No. 11 seed and will travel to No. 6 Point Loma for a first-round match Tuesday at 3 p.m. The winner will play at No. 3 Steele Canyon on Friday at 5 p.m.
