Poway High Peer Counseling selling discounted Padres tickets

Support Poway High School Peer Counseling fundraiser by purchasing discounted tickets for the last home San Diego Padres game on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The tickets are $20 per person for field-level seats. The game starts at 3:40 p.m.

The national anthem will be sung by Jackie Foster, a Poway High senior and current Miss Poway.

Checks should be made out to “PHS.” Enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope and mail to Traci Barker-Ball, Poway High School, 15500 Espola Road, Poway, CA 92064. Deadline for ticket sales is Sept. 16. For questions, contact tbarkerb@powayusd.com.

PHS Student Services/Peer Counseling is funded by donations from the community and a tobacco grant. Right now the school only has full funding through the current semester. Services offered include: one-on-one personal/social/emotional/crisis counseling; support groups; tobacco/drug/alcohol counseling, prevention and education; mentoring; tutoring; referrals to community resources; liaison for students, staff and parents; peer counseling; Titan Ambassadors; and special programs such as assemblies and field trips.
