Volunteer patrol
The Los Penasquitos Volunteer Patrol is looking for new members. Members ride and walk the Los Penasquitos Preserve to assess current conditions, interact with visitors in the manner of a “trail docent” and to provide assistance, first aid and emergency response in coordination with the rangers and local agencies.
Participation requires each volunteer to have and maintain both CPR and first aid training, to complete a course in procedures and radio protocol and to demonstrate a commitment to cheerful interaction as an “ambassador of the preserve.”

Toddler and baby yoga
The Rancho Penasquitos Library, 13330 Salmon River Road, holds Toddler Yoga classes at 10:15 a.m. the third Thursday of the month for walking toddlers 12 to 24 months old.
