Teens sought for law enforcement Explorer post

Despite being from different generations, a Poway Sheriff’s lieutenant and a patrol deputy have at least one thing in common — both were Explorers with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department when they were teens.

When this year’s Miss Poway and Miss Teen pageant is held in April, it will be a special milestone — the 50th anniversary of local girls and young women vying for the queen’s crown.
