The NFL Scouting Combine started airing on television in 2004. It was the first chance the public got to see exactly what NFL hopefuls go through a few months before draft day.

The Carmel Highland Golf Course adjacent to the DoubleTree Resort and Spa will be closing within the next six to 12 months and the some 113 acres of land it occupies will be put to use in another way, according to its owners.
