Little League: Local Little League to feature new 50/70 division

Little League International introduced an Intermediate 50/70 baseball division in 2013. District 31, which includes the Poway, Rancho Bernardo and 4S Ranch Little Leagues, will be offering the division for the first time this upcoming season.

Local Golf: Bernardo Heights Country Club to host Junior Golf Day

The San Diego Junior Golf Association (SDJGA) will join forces with Bernardo Heights Country Club to help put on the first Junior Golf Day, scheduled for Jan. 18 from noon to 4 p.m.

Youth Girls Soccer: Poway 12U All-Stars win tournament championship

The Poway Girls U12 All-Star team captured the Scripps Ranch tournament championship at the end of December.

Poway goalkeeper Bella Hara and a strong defensive effort was behind each shutout, including the 2-0 blanking of Escondido in the title game.
