The RB Hoops Camp will offer its annual basketball camp for boys and girls ages 8-13 (grades 3-8). Session 1 (July 11-15) is for boys ages 11-13 (grades 6-8). The San Diego District Tennis Association is holding a free Family Tennis Day from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at the Poway High tennis courts, 15500 Espola Road. The celebration includes on-court clinics for kids and adults, a “hit for prizes” contest, snacks and more. A free follow-up class will be offered for beginners who want to learn more about playing basic tennis. The classes will run on the three following Saturdays. Youth roller hockey clinics are being held in the 4S Ranch Community Park, 16118 4S Ranch Parkway, 8 a.m. – noon Saturdays for youths ages 5 through 18. Sessions are ten weeks long and are hosted by volunteer coaches who have a passion for teaching young athletes the sport. Summer session 2011 runs from June 18 to Aug. 27 and costs $25.
