Lucile W. Moreno

Donated dolls and toys

Services were held today (Thursday) for Lucile W. “Bambi” Moreno, 87, of Poway, who died July 10, 2005.

A native of West Virginia, she had lived in Poway for the past 17 years. She held a degree in teaching and was known for making dolls and toys for children and donating them on holidays.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Ogborn of New Mexico, two daughters, Daneane Rhodes of Santa Clara and Deborah K. McNamara of Poway; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were to be held at 10 a.m. today at El Camino Memorial.

Oliver J. Draguesku

Retired food broker

Services were held today (Thursday) for Oliver John Draguesku, 81, of Rancho Bernardo. He died July 7, 2005.

Mr. Draguesku was born in Chicago, Ill. and retired after 45 years as a food broker. He served in the Army Air Corps and earned a masters degree. He moved to Rancho Bernardo three years ago.

He is survived by four sons, Jack of Houston, Texas, Michael of San Clemente, James of Palos Park, Ill. and Anthony of Murrieta; five daughters, Susan McDonald of Long Beach, Mary Ann Mendell of Corona, Joanne Craig of Anacortes, Wash. and Carol Harrigan of Poway; and 18 grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orange County will be his final resting place.

Poway Bernardo Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Lloyd G. Witt Sr.

Retired nuclear physicist

Lloyd Gordon Witt Sr. of Rancho Bernardo died July 3, 2005 at the age of 76. He was born in Michigan and lived in San Diego for 50 years.

Mr. Witt was a nuclear physicist and served in the Navy. He was a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed computers, crosswords, motorcycles, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Ebel; his sons, Gordon Witt Jr. of San Diego and Larry G. Witt of El Cajon; his daughter, Lucille Allan of Ramona; his sister, Nona Burkhart of Florida; his stepsister, Thelma Young of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Burial is at Fort Rosecrans Cemetery.

Poway-Bernardo Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Graydon Hammond, Jr.

Jewelry store owner

Services will be held Monday for Graydon Hammond, Jr., 72 of Rancho Bernardo, who died July 9, 2005.

A native of Pontiac, Mich., Mr. Hammond was a jewelry store owner.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Dagmar; three sons, Robert, Graydon III and Tom; four daughters, Kathy, Terry, Jeannie and Ann; and a sister, Jean.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Poway Bernardo Mortuary with Pastor Richard Hulls officiating. Private cremation is planned.
