Eleanor F. Kibler

Eleanor F. Kibler, a longtime Scripps Ranch resident, died Sept. 12, 2006 at the age of 87. She was born in Illinois and lived in Scripps Ranch for 24 years.

Mrs. Kibler was a homemaker.

Survivors include her son, Gordon Kibler of Pickerington, Ohio; her daughters, Allison Phillips of Ramona and Virginia Kibler of Parker, Colo.; her sister, Mike Terri of Redondo Beach; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 14 at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary.

Kathleen M. Lawrie

Services will be held Monday for Kathleen M. Lawrie, who died Sept. 15, 2006 at the age of 86.

A former school teacher, Mrs. Lawrie worked for many years at Edelweiss Bakery in Rancho Bernardo, which is owned by her son, Gerard Lawrie, and daughter, Sandra Ortmeier.

Other survivors include sons, Peter Lawrie of New Canaan, Conn., and Brian Lawrie of Toronto, Canada; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Monday, Sept. 25 at El Camino Memorial Park in Sorrento Valley.

The family suggests donations to Vitas Hospice.

James Robertson

James Robertson of Rancho Bernardo died Aug. 28, 2006 at the age of 81. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and lived in Rancho Bernardo for 18 years.

Mr. Robertson was an engineer for Xerox Corporation, working in Rochester, N.Y., Dallas, Texas, and Los Angeles.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; his son Jim Robertson of Los Angeles; and daughter, Gerri Liljeblad of San Diego.

Services were held Aug. 30 at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary.

Robert W. Sigg

Robert W. Sigg, a longtime area resident, died Sept. 4, 2006 at the age of 84. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., and lived in the Rancho Bernardo-Poway area for 30 years.

Mr. Sigg served two terms as chairman of the California Unemployment Appeals Board, for which he also worked as an administrative law judge.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Patricia; his sons, Clay of Sacramento and Eric of Pasadena; and three grandchildren.

No service was announced.

Poway-Bernardo Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Daniel B. Zukaitis

Longtime Poway resident Daniel Bernard Zukaitis died Sept. 2, 2006 at the age of 82. Born in Superior, Wis., he lived in Ramona for 10 years before moving to Poway 30 years ago.

Before retiring in 2004, Mr. Zukaitis owned and operated Zuke’s Pizza in Poway and Cheers in Ramona. During World War II he served in the Army. He enjoyed sports and being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Irene; his daughters, Randi Huxhold of Virginia City, Nev., and Janet Chesworth of Poway; his son, Daniel Zukaitis Jr. of St. George, Utah; his brother, Ray Zukaitis of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were private.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Association, 2655 Camino del Rio N., Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92108.

California Funeral Alternatives handled the arrangements.
