Poway-based shuttle service offers exclusive rides

America’s Finest Shuttles, a new, Poway-based company that opened in July, is ready to provide you with safe, exclusive transportation downtown, whether you’re going to the airport or just out for a night on the town.

Opening in July, America’s Finest Shuttles may be on the newer side, but its owners and operators are experienced. Once a franchise for a major shuttle company, America’s Finest Shuttles ended its franchise when the owners became dissatisfied with the franchise. “We noticed some of the issues that had arisen,” said John Allen, head of marketing and advertising and driver for America’s Finest Shuttles.

Allen and America’s Finest Shuttles pride themselves on providing exclusive, non-stop rides in their two shuttles, which can seat seven, and their luxury sedan, which can handle smaller parties. If you’re not comfortable sharing your shuttle with strangers, or don’t want to spend hours traveling around the airport and city dropping off and picking up other passengers, America’s Finest Shuttles might be suited for you.

America’s Finest Shuttles also does curb-side pick-up, whether at home or at the airport, so you won’t need to haul your luggage down to a shuttle loading zone. “We’re one of the only shuttle companies that can do curbside pick-up in San Diego,” said Allen. “Just call at baggage claim, and we’ll be there in no longer than 10 minutes.”

The company is currently running a deal for the month of December for those living in Poway, Rancho Penasquitos and Rancho Bernardo, offering flat-rate specials of $65 for up to seven people in the shuttle downtown, and $45 for the luxury sedan to downtown. America’s Finest Shuttles also offers a military discount.

In addition to shuttling people to and from the airport, America’s Finest Shuttles also offers charter wine tasting and micro-brewery tours, as well as providing transportation for corporate events and even weddings. They contract with licensed, independent drivers who have their own shuttles, so America’s Finest Shuttles can accommodate large parties as well as small. Their designated driver service will work with your schedule as you tour wineries, micro-breweries, or just go bar-hopping downtown, with the shuttle either waiting for you, or returning to pick up customers at a pre-appointed time.

America’s Finest Shuttles is also working to arrange a deal with Dove Sacks, a San Diego nonprofit that works to provide sack lunches to the homeless, where for every ride purchased, America’s Finest Shuttles will arrange for food to be donated through Dove Sacks. “Get a ride in the holidays,” said Allen, “and feed the homeless.”
