Bernardo Winery holds Holiday Nights

Holiday Nights are returning to Bernardo Winery next week, which will provide plenty of shopping opportunities along with some yuletide cheerfulness.

The admission-free event will be 4-8 p.m. Dec. 13-16 at the winery, 13330 Paseo del Verano Norte, Rancho Bernardo. Parking is also free.

Among offerings will be horse-drawn carriage rides for a nominal fee through the winery’s vineyard, nightly entertainment including performances by strolling carolers, arts and crafts vendors offering handmade items for sale and all of the winery’s Village Shops will be open.

Cafe Merlot will also be serving dinner each night from 5-8 p.m. Reservations are recommended. Call 858-592-7785.

Also returning will be the annual Brunch with Santa, set for 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 in Rosario’s Pavilion. It will start with a breakfast buffet, followed by a presentation by Wild Wonders at 10:30 a.m., a Hulabaloo Children’s Concert at 11:15 a.m. and Santa Claus will arrive at noon to meet with youngsters and pose for photos.

Cost to attend Brunch with Santa is $20 for adults and $15 for children 2-11. Those younger than 2 years are free. Reservations are required. Call the winery at 858-487-1866.
