Local trusted 30-year veteran Realtor returns
Victoria McMinn, (“Call me Vicki, Call me Victoria, Just call me”) Realtor with Keller Williams Realty, serving Poway and Rancho Bernardo, has returned to serve local buyers and sellers, after an unplanned hiatus.
“As you may know, John passed from a heart attack here in Poway, almost four years ago,” McMinn said of her husband, who was a retired Navy aviator and recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. “He and I were Realtors together, married for 40 years, and lived here for 35 years: raising our children, being with grandchildren, and serving as volunteers and in real estate.
“My parents (by the way, I honored my mother’s passing by going back to my family name, Victoria), lived in San Diego and passed two years before John. By the grace of God, and with the support of friends and family, I completed Griefshare.org at my church. I am more than happy to return with peace, joy, and 30 years of local real estate experience — I love working for new and old friends and clients again!”
A San Diego native and San Diego State University alumnae, McMinn has lived in north, south, east and coastal San Diego.
“It is a unique perspective that allows me to have more knowledge locally and throughout Greater San Diego,” she said. “Last year I was able to represent buyers (for whom I had three previous successful real estate sales and purchases here), who decided to purchase a home near the coast. It is the perfect home for them, and they are excited and happy!”
McMinn has been trusted for more than 30 years and by more than 1,000 clients with her personal brand of experience, caring, and patience. “With a lifetime of accumulated real estate wisdom, knowledge, abilities, and values — I joyfully love to serve people who love what I can do to help them,” she said.
“John and I agreed early in our marriage to travel together, when we were able, wherever he was stationed,” McMinn said. “When he was stationed in Italy, I earned a minor in Italian while teaching for our Department of Defense while teaching in American schools. (I have a lifetime California teaching credential, K to 9.) We traveled together throughout Europe, the Pacific, and our United States.”
Asked why she chose a real estate career, McMinn said, “I love to share my heart for helping others, my energy for long hours, my determination for strong negotiations, and the correct attitude for putting clients first — all of which are critical.
She added, “My first weekend in real estate was July 4th, 1977: I SOLD a house, rented a house, and listed another house.”
Among many honors, McMinn is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Risk Management Specialist (RMS), Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource (SFR), along with other professional rankings; plus, nominated “Poway Woman of the Year,” a finalist for “San Diego Realtor of the Year,” and in the top 1 percent of all Realtors nationally.
