The Rancho Bernardo Planning Board will elect its new officers, including chairperson, and appoint residents to its membership during Thursday’s (April 18) meeting.
The agenda includes re-voting on the appointments of Oaks North resident Roberta Mikles to the open seat in District C and Bernardo Heights resident Eugenia Contratto to the District F seat at the March 21 meeting. The vote must be repeated since it occurred without being placed on the March agenda.
According to this week's agenda, the March meeting’s acting chairwoman, Robin Kaufman, lodged a formal Brown Act violation complaint against the board for voting on the appointments during the meeting over which she presided.
After the 2013-14 elected board members are seated and new officers are elected, residents living in districts served by the Bernardo Heights, Eastview, Seven Oaks and RB Swim & Tennis clubs may present themselves for appointment. To be eligible they must first attend at least one board meeting within the last 11 months. For details, contact Richard House at email@example.com or 619-222-9248.
As for other agenda voting items, they include:
• Proposal of a Sprint wireless project at 18655 W. Bernardo Drive where an existing antenna and equipment are to be modified.
• Proposal of a Verizon project at 12578 Oaks North Drive where wireless equipment is to be installed inside a new concrete block wall building with stucco and tile roof.
• A conditional use permit for off-premises sales of beer and wine by Brothers Provisions at 16451 Bernardo Center Drive.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Club 21 room at RB Swim & Tennis Club, 16955 Bernardo Oaks Drive. For the agenda, go to
