Four to be added to Poway High Hall of Fame

Poway High School’s Hall of Fame has announced its second class of inductees, who will be honored at a ceremony Friday, May 31 at the Bernardo Winery.

Poway High graduates Kellye Cash, Marie Chiment, Jeannie Hume and Assemblyman Brian Maienschein will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The will join last year’s inductees: Poway Mayor Don Higginson, Jeffrey Belk, Jud Buechler and Dr. Matthew Fei.

The Hall of Fame seeks to honor individuals in the categories of business, athletics, arts, sciences, public service and community service, who have worked to make the community a better place.

The event will begin with social and a pasta dinner catered by Cafe Merlot at 5 p.m., followed by the Hall of Fame recognition ceremony at 6 p.m., and the Heads and Tails Raffle from 6:30 - 7 p.m. The event will finish the night with a social hour until 8:30 p.m. The Poway High School Jazz Band will be performing throughout the evening.
