POWAY (CNS) - Drug-enforcement agents raided a Poway home Friday, seizing marijuana and arresting two men and a woman on suspicion of cultivating and processing the illicit plants.

Members of the regional Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at the house in the 13500 block of Acton Avenue in Poway about 7 a.m., sheriff’s Lt. Harold Turner said.

The personnel seized 230 marijuana plants and about 20 pounds of processed cannabis at the rental residence. The street value of the contraband was estimated at $750,000.

Jailed in connection with the alleged illicit drug setup were Jaime Rene Katzenstein, 28, Jason Paul Lujan, 25, and Timothy Yihung Tien, 23.

Investigators believe that the trio ran a marijuana cultivation, manufacturing and delivery operation out of the home, according to Turner.

A city fire investigator, code-compliance officer and building inspector also were called out to look over the residence, since the processes the suspects allegedly were involved in can cause explosions, the lieutenant said.
