San Diego State-bound senior Vickie Porter scored a game-high seven goals and the Poway High girls lacrosse team avenged an earlier loss to Westview Friday night with a 13-12 overtime victory at Poway High School.

The Wolverines entered the game unbeaten in Palomar League while and a win away from crushing the league title hopes of the Titans. But Poway rebounded from an 8-7 loss at Westview (10-5, 2-2 Palomar League) earlier in the season to move into a first-place tie with Canyon Crest Academy (11-4, 3-1)

The Titans (7-7, 4-1) have three games left in the regular season before the start of the Open Division playoffs. Poway will travel to face Canyon Crest Academy Tuesday for what likely will decide the league champion.
