Fire damages Scripps Poway El Pollo Loco

UPDATE: Damage has been estimated to be $350,000, with $250,000 to the building and $100,000 to the contents. The cause has been classified as accidental.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A restaurant in Scripps Ranch was damaged by fire Friday but no injuries were reported.

The fire at the El Pollo Loco at 10715 Scripps Poway Parkway was reported about 6:30 a.m. and fire crews had it knocked down in just over 20 minutes, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.

Investigators were working to determine the cause of the blaze.
