Vandals target Poway vehicles

Ten cars were vandalized in Poway between Dec. 6 and 7, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Windows were shattered with a pellet or BB gun, with damage estimated at nearly $3,000. Nothing was taken from the vehicles.

One of the victims saw a tan or light brown four-door car filled with people driving suspiciously in her neighborhood the night before her car window was shattered, according to a press release.

Targeted vehicles were located along 12000 Laja Drive, 13000 Standish Drive, 14000 Frame Road and 14000 Deerwood Street.

Detectives are looking for assistance in solving this vandalism spree. Anyone who lives in the targeted neighborhoods and might have surveillance video is being asked to contact the Poway Sheriff’s Station at 858-513-2800 and ask for Detective Andrew Peterson.
