Prep Boys Soccer: Poway High edges Scripps Ranch 2-1

Miguel Berry and Ian Hayne each scored a goal and the Poway High boys soccer team remained unbeaten after a 2-1 win over Scripps Ranch Wednesday in a non-league game.

The Titans have won two straight and their only blemish is a 1-1 tie to Hilltop, the team that knocked them out in the first round of the Open Division playoffs last year.

Poway will start defense of its San Diego Tournament championship on Friday. The Titans will play Scripps Ranch again in the opener of the tourney at 7:30 p.m. at San Diego High School.
