Prep Baseball: Broncos rebound from loss with rout of Torrey Pines

After being blanked by USC-bound C.J. Stubbs and Torrey Pines in the Palomar League opener, the Rancho Bernardo baseball team rebounded with a nine-hit attack in a 13-5 win over the visiting Falcons on Thursday.

The Broncos fell behind 4-2 in the top of the fourth, but went on to score four in the bottom half of the frame and seven more in the sixth to take control of the game.

Sophomore Adam Storch went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, while Tora Otsuka added an RBI double. Lenard Jones had a hit and two RBIs and Alika Williams went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for the Broncos (12-4, 1-1).

Freshman Joey Magrisi got the win, allowing seven hits and two earned runs over four innings. The series finale is Saturday at Torrey Pines (10-6-1, 1-1) at 10:30 a.m.
