Prep Softball: Titans beat Westview 7-3

Both Poway High and Rancho Bernardo will enter Friday night’s softball showdown at Lake Poway with a 2-0 record in Palomar League play.

The Titans rolled to a 7-3 win over Westview, while Rancho Bernardo’s game against Canyon Crest Academy on Wednesday was cancelled.

CCA, who did not play its scheduled competition last week, is not playing out the rest of the season due to a lack of players. The Ravens’ scheduled games will be deemed no contest instead of a win. Therefore, the Palomar League will be an eight-game schedule.

Catherine Seitz led Poway over Westview, going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Morgan Lutticken also had three hits, while Malia Martinez and Ari Marsh each had two hits and an RBI.
