One dead, one wounded in Poway shooting

POWAY (CNS) - Deputies today found one man shot dead and another one wounded at a home in Poway.

Deputies were dispatched at 1:35 a.m. to the residence in the 13400 block of Frame Road after receiving a radio call that a shooting had occurred there, said San Diego sheriff’s Lt. John Maryon.

When deputies arrived they found a man dead in the backyard from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. Another man was found at the residence, who had also been shot in the upper body. Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital where he was treated and released to detectives for questioning, Maryron said.

The county sheriff’s department has identified the man killed as 43-year-old Chris Alan Jewell. The second victim, 41-year-old Seth Warner Ladabouche, also was shot, but is expected to survive. A suspect has not yet been identified.
