DUI checkpoint in Poway Friday night

Sheriff’s deputies will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Poway between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies will be checking for drivers who might be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and for valid driver’s licenses, according to Sgt. David Cheever.

The location of the planned checkpoint was not disclosed.
